Hospital Administrator, Nancy

Hospital Administrator - Nancy

Nancy joined Central Animal Hospital when her husband, Dr. Mark Brown took over ownership in June 1998. She is a native of Long Island, New York, and moved to Florida with her family in 1974. She has a BA degree in Business Management from Eckerd College. Nancy manages both Central Animal Hospital locations and, in her free time, enjoys working out at Orange Theory, gardening, attending church and singing in the choir. She and Dr. Brown have two grown daughters and a granddaughter. Nancy also enjoys “mothering” their five Boston Terriers, two of which are show dogs, and all of which she refers to as her stress relievers.

Certified Veterinarian Technician & Practice Manager, Sarah

Certified Veterinarian Technician & Practice Manager - Sarah


Sarah moved from Colorado because she wanted to be close to the ocean. She joined the Central Animal Hospital team in October 2016 with ten years prior veterinary technician experience.

Sarah earned a B.S. degree in Psychology and an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. Her hobbies include playing tennis, decorating, and watching football. Go Broncos!

Administrative Assistant - Brittany

Brittany joined the Central Animal Hospital team in April 2017 as administrative assistant to our Hospital Administrator. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Tallahassee, Florida and earned a B.A. Degree in English Literature from FSU. She moved to St. Petersburg to be closer to the beach. She has one dog, a Pomeranian named Harper, who she lovingly refers to as her “daughter.” In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with Harper and exploring St. Petersburg and meeting the great people who live here. She also enjoys traveling and visiting her family, spending time by the water and watching college football as an avid Dawgs & ‘Noles fan.

Patient Care Coordinator – Samantha


Samantha joined the Central Animal Hospital team in June 2018. She was born and raised here in St. Petersburg, FL. Samantha loves spending her free time with her husband and their four “fur babies” – ferrets Loki, Oskar, Lillith, and Scarlett. She also enjoys horseback riding, going to the beach, hiking, and staying at home watching movies.

Patient Care Coordinator – Kiara


Kiara joined the Central Animal Hospital team in September 2018. Her childhood was spent in Stuttgart, Germany and she also grew up in NC where she earned her B.S. in Sociology before moving to St. Petersburg in April 2018. Kiara loves spending her free time with her husband and family. She also enjoys painting, shopping and decorating, and shares her home with her husband and their little hamster, Cookie.

Patient Care Coordinator - Christina

Christina joined the Central Animal Hospital team in October 2017. She grew-up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and moved down here because she always wanted to live by the beach. Christina earned her Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Assistance. She enjoys spending her free time hiking, watching the sunset at the beach, hanging out with friends, and taking the occasional road trip.

Patient Care Coordinator - Kimberley

Kimberley joined the Central Animal Hospital team in April 2019. She was born and raised here in St. Petersburg, FL. Kimberley enjoys spending all her free time with her family, especially get-togethers, BBQing and being outdoors together. She loves museums, fishing and everything about being a mother to her five children. Kimberly also shares her home with her dog, a Pitsky mix named Drogo.

Patient Care Coordinator - Taylor

Taylor joined the Central Animal Hospital team in March 2019. She was born in Dallas, TX and raised here in St. Petersburg, FL. She loves spending her free time with her daughter and taking their dog Tyson, a Boxer/Pit Mix who they share their home with, to the park and the beach. Taylor also enjoys reading, gardening, swimming and cooking, and lives by the Mary Anne Radmacher quote that “Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow.”

Certified Veterinary Technician - Emily


Emily joined the Central Animal Hospital team in July 2017. She grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri and moved down here to get away from the snowy winters and be near sunshine and the beach. Emily earned her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She enjoys anything outdoors and spends her free time camping, hiking, and playing with her dogs. She is a self-described “foodie” and is always up for grabbing lunch or dinner and trying new food. She shares her home with her fluffy black cat, Inky, and her two rescue dogs – Dilbert, an American Bulldog Mix, and Darla, a Bulldog mix.

Clinical Veterinary Assistant - Alana

Alana joined the Central Animal Hospital team in March 2019. She was born and raised here in St. Petersburg, FL and is currently studying biology at SPC. Alana loves spending her free time with her friends, doing yoga/exercise, watching way too much Netflix and hanging out with her cats Tucker, Lucie, and Moo. She also enjoys drawing and painting.

Clinical Veterinary Assistant - Danielle

Danielle joined the Central Animal Hospital team in April 2017. She is a native of Largo, Florida and has been here her entire life. She is currently a student in the veterinary technology program at St. Petersburg College. In her free time, Danielle enjoys hanging out with friends, baking, cooking, fishing, going to parks, and shopping. She also loves spending time with her dogs, a beagle-chihuahua mix named Chanel, and a beagle named Bobby Joe.

Clinical Veterinary Assistant - Katie

Katie joined the Central Animal Hospital team in August 2017. She grew up in Dayton, Ohio and moved down here because she felt anything white covering the ground should be sand, not snow. Katie earned her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She enjoys spending her free time at the beach or by the pool. She also enjoys going to baseball and football games. She shares her home with her two cats, Marvin and Tiki.

Clinical Veterinary Assistant – Marlo

Marlo joined the Central Animal Hospital team in December 2017. She grew up in nearby Williston, FL and lived in various regions of the U.S. before moving to the area with her husband and 7-month-old daughter, Marilda. In her free time, Marlo loves hanging out with her new baby girl, and also enjoys reading fantasy books such as Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. She shares her home with her two Cockatiels – Peeps, who came with her from Hawaii and traveled all over the U.S. with her family, and Wall-E, who she rescued 2 years ago.

Veterinary Assistant - Jessica

Jessica joined the Central Animal Hospital team in September 2018. She was born and raised here in St. Petersburg, FL, earned her B.S Degree at USF, and aspires to be a Veterinarian one day. Jessica loves spending her free time with family and friends, working out and watching movies. She also enjoys painting and listening to music. Jessica shares her home with her four dogs- one a Mutt mix and the other three French Bulldogs.

Kennel/Hospital Assistant - Jennifer

Jennifer joined the Central Animal Hospital team in April 2018. She was born and raised in South Toms River, NJ and has lived in St. Petersburg, FL since February 2018. Jennifer has two cats, Tiger and Lily, and one dog, a Pugle named AJ. She looks forward to starting school at SPC and becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Kennel/Hospital Assistant - Angelique

Angelique joined the Central Animal Hospital team in March 2019. She grew up in Naples, FL and moved to St. Petersburg to attend USF, and absolutely loves living here. When not studying for her Biology major, Angelique enjoys spending her free time watching movies and exploring downtown St. Pete with her friends. She also loves to journal, draw, reading and photography.

Kennel Caregiver/Hospital Assistant - Alexandria

Alex joined the Central Animal Hospital team in July 2017. She grew up in Connecticut and moved down here to further her career in animal care. In her free time, she enjoys playing videogames and going to the beach. She also enjoys spending time volunteering at animal shelters. Alex shares her home with her two dogs – Chico, a Pitbull mix, and Emmitt, a Border Collie, and her two cats – Whiskers and Princess.
