Our doctors can collect and administer regenerative therapies like
After our doctors collect adipose (fat) tissue from pets, our trained technicians process the stem cells in our on-site lab to increase viability and success rate. Then they will be injected into the pet’s affected sites by the doctors. In a randomized, double-blinded multicenter clinical trial, dogs with chronic osteoarthritis were either treated with stem cells isolated from fat (adipose) tissue or with placebo. The stem cell-treated dogs’ lameness, the range of motion, pain on manipulation, as well as their overall orthopaedic examination scores significantly improved over time and improved relative to placebo-treated animals (ref: Veterinary Therapeutics, Vol. 8, No. 4, Winter 2007).
Many have found that stem cell therapy may be optimized with the use of Canine Rehabilitation after stem cell treatment.
IRAP (Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist Protein) Therapy is a regenerative therapy that has been used for decades in equine medicine for arthritic joints. Dr. Brown brought this therapy to Central Animal Hospital and the Tampa Bay K9 Rehabilitation Center over 15 years ago to help dogs with painful joints due to arthritis.
