Veterinarians

OUR PRACTICES ARE GROWING & WE ARE SEEKING VETERINARIANs (2+ YEARS Experience Preferred) Full Time. 4-Day work week, no on-call emergencies. AAHA-accredited since 2002, our well-established family-owned companion animal practice is conveniently located on a major thoroughfare in northeastern St. Petersburg, an easy 5-minute drive to our beautiful waterfront downtown, a 15-minute drive to our gorgeous beaches, and a 20-minute drive to downtown Tampa. Our second location is nestled in a quiet neighborhood close to the beaches.

We are a primary care facility with Sound Technology Smart DR digital Xray, new dental suite with Dental Focus digital Dental Xray, new Sound Technology Logiq Ultrasound, ECG, radiosurgical units, pharmacy, in-house lab, in-house regenerative therapies lab; and all anesthetic monitoring equipment required by AAHA standards.

Client service and satisfaction are strongly emphasized while providing our patients' wellness & disease prevention, comprehensive dental care, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, canine rehabilitation, & regenerative medicine. Our hospital is a great place to learn and grow professionally.

We also offer a 4-day work week, paid CE opportunities for licensure requirements, professional development, and new skills acquisition. No overnight on-call required as overnight care is referred to local emergency/specialty centers. Some weekend work. An in-house professional & leadership development program is also available to all staff.

Immediate opening for a Veterinary Technician for fast-paced 4-doctor companion animal practice in St. Petersburg, FL. If you are a Veterinary Technician who has several years of experience in the veterinary field and enjoys working in an AAHA-accredited hospital with progressive medicine and surgery as a priority, you may be exactly who we are looking for!

In addition to our general veterinary medicine practice focusing on wellness, we also provide:

Pay $16-$20/hour COMMENSURATE WITH CERTIFICATION, SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Veterinary Technician with at least one to two years experience.

  • Skilled and knowledgeable with surgical assistance

  • Performs periodontal cleaning and charting

  • Performs venipuncture (Phlebotomy and catheter placement) on felines and canines

  • Performs diagnostic imaging with digital radiograph equipment

  • Administers medication (oral, topical, injectable),

  • Obtains laboratory collection, processing and interpreting (fecal/parasite analysis, blood differentials, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis)

  • Assists the veterinarian with exam rooms and uses veterinary software (Avimark) for documenting medical notes

  • Educates clients and understands vaccination protocols

  • Works according to AAHA Accreditation standards.


Also, the right Veterinary Technician will possess:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in communicating with clients, doctors and coworkers.

  • Willingness to learn new skills (like regenerative therapy processing) and established protocols.

  • Willingness to work weekends on an alternating schedule with other techs on a four day work week schedule.

The primary function of our Veterinary Technician is to make the veterinarian's work flow smoothly by working collaboratively together to serve hospital clients as their patient care advocates by promoting the medical and preventive care recommendations of the veterinarians while displaying the highest level of care, compassion, professionalism and leadership.

Experienced Veterinary Assistants

EXPERIENCED, dynamic, energetic, organized & friendly Veterinary Client Service Representative needed for our three-doctor AAHA-accredited practice in St. Petersburg.

EXPERIENCED, motivated, self-starter with a bright, cheerful smile and outgoing, warm personality with a can-do attitude should apply. The right Veterinary Client Service Representative will be responsible for ensuring the best possible client experience by welcoming clients & their pets to our hospital, greeting telephone inquiries with courtesy, warmth, and friendliness, coordinating patient care and workflow with doctors, technicians & hospital assistants, keeping detailed paperless records.

Housekeeping duties are also assigned as we work as a team to maintain cleanliness in our hospital as one of our top priorities.
This position also requires accountability for ensuring practice growth by running reports for internal marketing purposes and analysis, assisting the Hospital Administrator, and actively seeking referrals from clients and friends on a daily basis. See Requirements & Benefits below.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum one year experience as a veterinary client service representative
